Reflections on yesterday
and hope for tomorrow . . .
I'm so happy you stopped by today and value your feedback. I believe relationships should be nurtured, moments need to be savored, and our majestic creation enjoyed as often as possible.

A Taylor University graduate, Cindy married her sweetheart Doug and birthed four children who she writes occasional “Sugar Cookies” for—with nine precious grandchildren. Formerly a teacher for Gifted & Talented (IA) and Soaring High at Harvest Academy (TX), and contributing writer for www.saworship.com, she enjoys reading—especially her Bible & dictionary. Two novels have recently been published. An enthusiastic storyteller, oil painter, and scuba diver, Cindy’s experiences include owning a B&B, wedding coordinator, and working as a caseworker.
“Once in awhile I sneak off to a secluded cottage in the woods where serenity in nature soothes my spirit as stories crowding in my head burst on paper when I type. Singing birds, frisky squirrel, curious fox, leaping deer and brief moments with my charming husband enable my extrovert tendencies to flourish. My current passion is painting pictures with words.”
We travel quite often . . . kind of a necessity when your family is spread across the world. Doesn't matter where we go or what we do however, the stories never stop. A mother whispering to her child on the bus, a boy climbing a tree with ripped pants, water leaking out of a faucet on the side of a building all capture my attention and beg for more details. Guess you could say curiosity grips me like watching a monkey at the zoo until my companions get bored and I'm forced to figure out my own ending as we move to a new venue. Catching a glimpse of some sky divers begins a new adventure.
There is also something interesting about people I'm with and places we're visiting. So I watch, ask numerous questions, and listen for answers that are tucked into simple replies--hoping to glean a bit more substance. Usually quite fascinated, I dig deeper and quess what unfolds? I carry notebooks. Always.
